Drive Time Maps
Lovell Johns are able to generate UK drivetime maps that clearly show the area or areas that can be reached by vehicle in pre-defined number of minutes or hours. Starting with an initial geographic location such as a postcode, our GIS Consultant uses GIS software to perform calculations to produce road network drivetimes or isochrones in all directions. The GIS software takes into account both the road road type and average speed to produce the results and analysis can be undertaken for both Peak and Off-peak scenarios.
The resultant drivetime catchment areas, or isochrones, can then be queried against third party geo-demographic datasets such as population density which can be used by Marketeers to help with issues such as:
Typical Spatial Analysis tasks can take the form of:
- Store location
- Employee relocation analysis
- Marketing to a specific area
- Delivery pricing
- Distribution planning
- Franchisee areas
Drivetime maps can be supplied in a variety of formats. Typically taken by the client as a digital file, they can also be printed at any size.
