Welcome to our June 2010 MAPit Public Sector newsletter. We have had a busy first half of the year with a number of LDF projects being completed for Local Authorities. The work we do in other areas of the Public Sector continues to grow with a range of GIS and web development projects either completed or in progress.
The recent change in government has seen the spotlight falling on the Public Sector in recent weeks, whilst the introduction of a new transparency in Local Authority spending will herald a new era of spending review. Our recent experience and indeed this edition of MAPIT does illustrate how the sector is using geographic information and mapping to improve efficiencies and provide better service.
