Requirement
Woolacombe Bay Hotel is a stunning hotel on the Devon Coast with unique bedrooms and an excellent range of facilities for guests, including a Spa, gym and cinema. The hotel Management were looking for a mapping solution to help guests navigate around the interconnected parts of the hotel and favoured an illustrated style.
Solution
A site visit by our Cartographer gave us a first-hand understanding of the various parts of the site and how a typical guest spends their time. The map depicts the two parts of the hotel in a playful style, using colour variation and illustrations to show off the facilities available. An early visual of the emerging design was provided for client review and approval before we completed the map.
Result
The final PDF was supplied within a few weeks of the site visit and in time for the Spring Season. Individual files of the unique illustrations were also purchased by Woolacombe for extended Marketing use in the future.
