Requirement
Lovell Johns were recently commissioned to design new mapping for the towns of Lancing and Shoreham in West Sussex. The mapping on display in the town centre totems had become faded and outdated and the Council were seeking a new map design to promote active travel and show walking distance and times.
Solution
Referencing example map styles on our website, we consulted with the Council to choose a favoured design approach. For each town, a series of consistent maps and graphics were created to fit the existing totem sections and sizes. All high-resolution artworks were outputted onto weather resistant DiBond material for local installation by the Council.
Result
The maps can be found in Shoreham town centre and at Lancing Station. The new totem maps are fully UV protected with an anti-graffiti lamination.
