Requirement
Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides hospital services to around 600,000 people living in Hampshire and parts of West Berkshire. The Transport and Support Services staff contacted Lovell Johns with a requirement for detailed Parking Maps for their main sites at Basingstoke, Winchester and Andover.
Solution
We consulted with the client to understand that the maps needed to provide the latest parking information to staff, patients and visitors in both leaflet format, on website and on signage around the grounds. The client wanted the maps to focus on the parking areas and access / exit roads rather than the hospital buildings, and to show information on a clear, uncluttered image.
Royalty-free up to date maps were created from open-source references. The maps use coloured zones to differentiate between the different parking on offer, also a simple set of symbols which are referenced in the key. The map content is designed to visually focus on the hospital and grounds, with the surrounding areas faded back
Result
The client has the rights to use the maps for website, download and display purposes.
