Lovell Johns were approached by US award-winning graphic design agency Turner Duckworth with a requirement for vector map artwork for use in their refresh of Maker’s Mark Kentucky bourbon. As experts in map-making, our client sought our expertise in how to produce a map-based visual asset with sufficient road network detail to convey the city identity and allow further art-working in their design environment.
The maps needed to use copyright-free data to provide royalty-free worldwide rights for the end client. Working to an initial brief on the required footprint and level of resolution for each city, we created high resolution maps for London and Sydney, with three further cities planned for 2023. The data delivered to the client was layered, styled and tidied to provide an easy-to-use file.
The vector artwork files were supplied to Turner Duckworth’s designers for further design work, then use in packaging and on billboards worldwide.
