Park and Nature Reserve Visitor Maps
Requirement
Destination Lincolnshire, the Destination Management Organisation (DMO) for Lincolnshire, were seeking the cartographic design of a series of park and nature reserve maps for a new visitor website. The client wanted 9 maps in total, to be designed in a style consistent with their existing town centre maps.
Solution
The maps are deliberately clean and simple, focusing the user on the parks and nature reserves. Our cartographers used OS OpenData as a reference, we also took advantage of the client’s local knowledge and guidance throughout the iterative design process. Surrounding roads are shown on the maps for context and each map features a unique key and scale bar.
Result
The maps are featured on the new Discover Boston website, with plans to produce printed copies in the future.
