Requirement
We were commissioned to design a hand-drawn map of a hilltop village for use on on display boards to highlight key buildings and local walks. The client had seen a preferred style of illustrated map on our website, and wanted to recreate the pen and ink style, but with colour added to enhance the image.
Solution
The client wanted to see a small sample area as a test, so this was worked on initially, using available online sources and images provided by the client. Once the scope of the whole map was agreed, we provided an initial sketch to agree details before starting work on the whole map, giving the client the opportunity to comment and add further detail.
Result
The illustrated town map was supplied to the client without text so the local language labels could be added at a later date.
