Now available to use in Google API developments
Google Street View is a feature of Google Maps that provides a 360 degree horizontal and 290 degree vertical panoramic views from along a street, from a height of around 2 metres. It has been expanded in the UK and now includes 25 cities. Street View is also available for many cities around the world.
Street View is available for use within a Google Maps application on your website. Lovell Johns have been creating mapping solutions for clients using the Google Application Programming Interface (API) for several years now. Google Maps is the perfect solution for displaying location information in an easy to use web application; apart from the obvious benefits of displaying business locations to potential customers, the API also offers a range of other functionalities such as live traffic feeds, directions with public transport services available and a local directory search.
We have recently completed a Google API for ReD Fuel Cards. ReD Fuel Cards provides fuel management solutions to clients in the UK and across Europe. We were contracted to develop a low cost, scalable and speedy internet solution using the Google API. Read more about the ReD Fuels Google API here.
We have also produced a Google Maps API solution for Merseyside Sports Partnership. This has given the Sports Partnership a searchable online map showing┬á locations of all sports facilities in the region by activity type with links to the clubs’ website and details of their timetables. Of course Google Maps is not the only answer to a requirement for multiple location web mapping. We are experts at creating mapping to suit particular requirements in a range of technologies including Flash, SVG and increasingly using Open Source software.
