Illustrated Maps
Lovell Johns create stunning illustrated maps that convey a unique sense of identity or place. Our uniquely tailored maps can be found in a wide variety of sectors, including as signage for wayfinding projects, at town centre arrival points and to help visitors around a University Campus. Good illustrated map design helps first-time visitors orientate themselves in new towns or cities, encouraging them to explore further and discover additional attractions.

How we create Illustrated Maps
Lovell Johns work closely with clients at the start of each project to understand the audience and purpose of the illustrated map. We typically create such unique illustrated maps as one-off commissions, focusing heavily on bringing out key landmarks and visitor attractions. Good illustrated map design will often depict interesting buildings and features in 3D, ranging from a single 3D landmark to an entire illustrated town centre or country map.
We offer a wide variety of illustrated map styles, from softer watercolour style paintings to digitally created renderings and graphical 3D cityscapes.
